Getting The Most Miles Out Of Your Tires

Your tires are an investment. Even a relatively cheap set of tires can easily run $500 or more, after disposal fees, taxes and installation. Unfortunately, they’re Tires in Hollywood FLalso an investment that is constantly depreciating, so it just makes sense to try to get the most out of your money with a set of tires.

The good news is that even lower-priced tires are designed to last longer than they were a generation ago. At one time, bias-ply tires were only good for about 20,000 miles (a couple of years’ worth of driving!) and early radials were lucky to go 35-40,000 miles before wearing out. Now, with improvements in tire construction and tread formulations, it’s not at all unusual to get 60,000 miles out of a set of tires.
